BIGBOY CAPRICE

BIGBOY CAPRICE

Big Boy Caprice is a Dutch soul and R&B singer known for his soaring falsetto and smooth fusion of hip‑hop beats, R&B, jazz and soul. Born and raised in Amsterdam, he grew up listening to legends like Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Earth, Wind & Fire, Prince and Michael Jackson — influences that helped shape his warm, soulful sound.

He first gained attention performing with bands and collectives such as 2 Tuff‑E‑Nuff, Soul Survivors and Track Addicts. Big Boy Caprice’s debut solo album, Exception To The Rule, introduced his distinctive soul and R&B style — a mixture of heartfelt vocals and contemporary rhythm — and found acclaim not only in the Netherlands but also abroad, especially in France.

Over the years he has graced major stages — including multiple appearances at North Sea Jazz Festival — and has remained a respected presence in the Dutch soul/R&B scene.
