JULIAN GARVAYO SEXTET
Julián Garvayo presents his Afro-Cuban jazz sextet, featuring outstanding Cuban musicians from different parts of the world.
Artists who have worked and continue to collaborate with renowned names such as Alain Pérez, Isaac Delgado, Manolito Simonet, Omara Portuondo and Buena Vista All Stars, among many other celebrated artists.
Their music blends the rich tradition and spirit of Cuban roots music with jazz and contemporary sounds. The repertoire explores genres such as guaguancó, son, timba and conga through original compositions. A unique live experience where rhythm, passion and musical mastery will make it nearly impossible to stay seated.
Julián Garvayo Pérez-Requeijo was born in Vienna (2004) into a family of professional musicians from Spain.
He has performed and recorded with renowned artists including Demetrio Muñiz, Alain Pérez & su Orchestra, Interactivo de Cuba, Barbarito Torres, Los Van van, Maite Hontelé, Jim McNeely, Marshall Gilkes, Bill Laurence, and David Rivera, among others.
