Daniel Camacho, the drummer and percussionist of the popular afro-Caribbean band Kuenta i Tambu and countless other formations in pretty much any genre, hosts a show in which it’s all about tropical flavours.
A monthly jam with an ever-changing line-up. Camacho puts his extensive network of musicians to work, by inviting the best artists he can round up. It can go in many directions. What’s for sure, different styles of latin, such as calypso, kaseko, zouk, soca, merengue and samba are in the bands arsenal, along with reggae and ska. They play ‘Caribbeanized’ versions of classics, as well as lesser known compositions.
