Previous & upcoming shows

Born in Leicestershire, England, Dan Joyce serves as Head Technician at the Melkweg, bringing more than 20 years of experience in audio engineering, live sound, and concert production. Over his career he has worked across some of the Netherlands’ most respected venues including Sugarfactory, Paradiso and Q-Factory as well as major festivals such as Glastonbury, Landjuweel and Stofpop. His technical expertise ranges from front-of-house and monitor mixing to studio recording, sound design and large-scale festival production, making him a trusted figure behind countless unforgettable performances.

Although Dan is not primarily known as a performing artist, music has always been central to his life. At Bourbon Street he steps out from behind the console and onto the stage, playing bass with a group of exceptionally talented longtime friends. Together they bring vibrant funk, soul and groove-filled nights to life showcasing not only Dan’s musicianship, but the chemistry and artistry that comes from years of shared experience and genuine musical connection.

He has had the pleasure of working with artists such as Marcus Miller, Blondie, Candy Dulfer, Spinvis, Giles Peterson, and many others.
