Known for her dynamic, inspiring and anointed voice,
Lejony ( Leonien Morales ) is an internationally singer, songwriter and performer.
She grew up well aware of R&B, jazz, gospel and pop music. Lejony has been a singer for as long as she can remember and spent years performing wherever she could.
She did her voice studies at the conservatorium in Hilversum ( Holland ) and also one year in New York ( Manhattan ) where she also experience to sing in many “black gospel” churches.
After one and half year she came back to Holland and start to work with many great musicians such as : Roger Happel, Marcellino Latupeirissa, Nippy Noya, Louis Drenthe, Joel Slagtand, Erwin van Motman, Jeffrey Patty, Ruben Drenthe, Lesly Joseph, Chico Lorindo Sahertian, Dwight Muskita, Elleon Noya, Francisco Morales, Elisa Krijgsman, André Bijleveld, and many more.
In the year 2001 Lejony released her first album called Catch ye. The music style on this cd is a mix of pop, soul, gospel and funk.
Lejony plans to launch a new record for 2008 and a tour to follow. An indication that the world can still expect plenty more from her.
