I'm a Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter from Amsterdam. I got into music when I was just a kid, recognizing very early on that I am happiest 'on stage' holding a guitar. I'm a self-taught musician (I learned to play by playing) and was fortunate to spend my formative years in the company of some amazing musicians (both on and off the stage). I grew up with my mother's classical guitar hanging on the wall and my father's records at my fingertips, providing me with some of the best teachers a young guitarist could wish for: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Mick Taylor to name but a few. I perform my music with my band or by myself depending on the venue or event and I love doing both. On December 8th 2007 I was a finalist in Holland's most prestigious live music competition (Grote Prijs van Nederland) where I won the Musicmaker Best Musician Award. I've been working as a session player for well over fifteen years now, playing anything from Funk, Rock, Soul, Pop, Dance and Reggae to Blues music. I've performed at famous Amsterdam venues like the Paradiso and Melkweg and at large festivals like Pinkpop with many different (inter-)national acts. I've played with and recorded for world famous DJs and some true legends on the Amsterdam music scene. I've appeared on stage with top US jam bands Umphrey's McGee and Galactic at the wonderful Jam in the Dam festival two years in a row. I love to go out and jam when I'm not 'working' so on any given night of the week you might find me at one of the live music bars around Leidseplein in Amsterdam.
