7 NIGHTS A WEEK
For a few years now, American steelpan player Gregory Boyd has lived in Denmark. The many years before however, he called New Orleans his home, which can clearly be heard in his musical influences.
Rhythm ‘n blues, funk and that unique flavor called New Orleans jazz are traced back in the sound of this virtuoso. Artists like Charles and Cyril Neville, Dr. John and Jon Cleary have played with him on the stages and streetcorners of the original Bourbon Street. The warm sound of the steelpan turned out to be a surprising and welcome addition to the music of his accomplished colleagues. His repertoire consists of his own material, as well as interpretations of classic songs of his contemporaries.
New Orleans jazz with a twist. One night only at Bourbon Street.
